Covenant Retirement Communities
The American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging describes Covenant Retirement Communities (CRC) as one of the nation’s largest, and most well-respected not-for-profit retirement housing organizations in the nation. Covenant Retirement Communities views its work as a nationwide commitment to a chosen ministry.
“Having The Conversation, A Heart To Heart With Aging Parents” is brought to you by CRC as a ministry of the Evangelical Covenant Church. This information has been designed to be a helpful and practical resource for families and, ultimately, their aging parents.
The church’s Home of Mercy has roots tracing back to 1886 and was originally established as an all-purpose refuge to serve the struggling immigrant population of Chicago. It housed a hospital, a home for the aged and an orphanage. After the turn of the 20th century, the ministries were separated and the Home of Mercy was devoted exclusively to older adults.
Covenant Retirement Communities has worked through the years with prudent stewardship of resources to now oversee 15 communities across the country. It values the thousands of professionals within the CRC family who bring a tremendous amount of experience to the specialty of lifestyles for seniors.
